Union Ridge is a small section of Chicago on the city’s northwest side, adjacent to Jefferson Park, Harwood Heights, Sauganash and Forest Glen. The official Union Ridge boundaries are Harlem Avenue to the west, Foster Avenue to the south, Mulligan Avenue to the east and the Kennedy Expressway to the north. Access to the Kennedy expressway is a breeze in Union Ridge as this interstate highway acts as the neighborhoods northern boundary. Exit ramps are located just off Higgins Road at Harlem Avenue. The CTA Blue Line also services Union Ridge as the Harlem-O’Hare Blue Line “L” Stop is located at the intersection of Higgins and Harlem. This makes accessibility to O’Hare Internation Airport especially convenient as this “L” station is only 3 stops from the airport.
