Access to the Kennedy Expressway is made easy from Portage Park from both Irving Park Road and Montrose Avenue. The CTA 80 bus runs east and west across Irving Park Road and the 78 bus runs parallel across Montrose. The main bus line running north and south through Portage Park is the CTA 85 bus which has stops all along Central Avenue.
