North Park Real Estate

The streets of North Park are lined with traditional brick and historic single-family homes featuring all types of architecture. Northeastern Illinois University has motivated real estate developers to construct a variety of medium-sized condominium and apartment buildings as well as multi-level townhomes. The parkland and riverbanks of the Chicago River give North Park a fantastic outdoor appeal, attracting a pleasant mix of middle- and upper-class families, students, and young hard-working professionals. The average sales price for a one- or two-bedroom condo or townhome is just under $200,000, while the larger two- and three-bedroom condos typically run in the mid-$300's. North Park remains a vibrant and appealing Chicago neighborhood, so single-family homes that do come on the market can be priced anywhere between $450,000 and $650,000 depending on square footage and lot size.

North Park Community Amenities

Lots of quaint coffee shops and small cafés fill the streets of North Park, catering to the student population and faculty of Northeastern Illinois University. Two of the neighborhood favorites include the Schlegl's Bakery & Café at 3334 W Foster Avenue and the Carthage Café just up the street. North Park is also home to one of Chicago's largest parks in Legion Park located at 3200 W Hollywood Avenue. Over 48 acres of lush green space provides students with the perfect outdoor escape and gives residents the perfect place to enjoy the pleasant Chicago summer nights. The Chicago River also runs directly through Legion Park, providing for a very peaceful and picturesque setting during all parts of the year.
