Much of North Center real estate for sale is composed of traditional Victorian style architecture with scattered three- and four- flat condos or apartments. Most of the single family homes boast large backyards and detached two car garages while sitting on quiet tree lined streets. While many of the industrial loft buildings alongside Ravenswood Avenue are still used for commercial purposes, the residential demand for loft-style properties continues to increase property values. The same can be said for many of the older factory and industrial properties near the Chicago River. Riverfront homes and condos will always be popular among the Chicago real estate market and development along the river is definitely on the rise. The broad price range for single family homes in North Center can be from the mid-400s all the way up to over $1 million. The average sales price right now for a single family home is around $738,000 while the average sales price for a North Center condo is just over $360,000.
North Center has some of Chicago’s best dining and outdoor park space. When it comes to Cuban food, Café 28, located at 1800 W.
