Noble Square is a small portion of West Town surrounded by more distinguished neighborhoods such as Wicker Park and Ukrainian Village. Noble Square’s eastern boundary runs along the Kennedy expressway from Grand Avenue to the south up to Division to the north. Noble Square real estate for sale is essentially directly east of Ukrainian Village with the western boundary being Ashland Avenue. With many of the Noble Square streets remaining residential, the neighborhood is anchored by the centrally located Ekhart Park at the corner of Noble Street and Chicago. Because of its close proximity to both Ukrainian Village and Wicker Park, many Chicagoans feel Noble Square is a unique mixture of both neighborhoods housing residents ranging from established artists and musicians to young working class inhabitants who enjoy the Chicago lifestyle. The West Park Commission created Ekhart Park in 1907 to provide some much needed separation for what was quickly becoming an overcrowded immigrant neighborhood. Today, Ekhart Park serves as a vital component to the neighborhood and provides a playground, outdoor gymnasiums, a community swimming pool, and a picturesque landscaped outdoor spot for children and Noble Square residents to enjoy all year long. The busy streets of Chicago and Grand offer a wide assortment of shopping, dining, and nightlife options and the Chopin Theatre located on West Division has some of the best weekend acts in all of Chicago.
The easiest access point to the Kennedy Expressway is from Division Street, however, southbound entrance ramps are at the Augusta and Milwaukee intersection and off Chicago Avenue as well.
