The closest park that actually lies within the boundaries of Mayfair is, fittingly, Mayfair Park. While not the largest park in Chicago, the two and a half acres of Mayfair Park boasts tennis courts, athletic fields, two different playgrounds, and a classic-style field house originally designed by Clarence Hatzfeld. In addition, just north of the Mayfair boundary lies 600 acres of heavily-forested parkland, open grasslands, a restored prairie, and all the picnic tables and walking trails you could imagine. This urban green space, more commonly known as the LaBagh Woods Forest Preserve, is the absolute perfect summer getaway and nearby residents and visitors can easily spend an entire day here without even realizing it.

Mayfair Neighborhood Highlights
