The fall season is nearly here, which unfortunately, also means the dark, cold days of winter will soon be following. But one positive aspect about the cold seasons in downtown Chicago are the beloved professional sports teams that seem to make those long Chicago winters seem just a little bit brighter. Of course the Blackhawks are coming off a successful Stanley Cup run and the seasons ahead for the Bulls and Bears look as encouraging as ever. But when it comes time to hang up the cleats, sneakers, or skates in the case of the Blackhawks, just where do some of Chicago’s most popular athletes call home?
As you might imagine, some have plush new pads up on Chicago’s north shore, while others spend their down time right here in the heart of downtown Chicago. For those of you who have always wondered where some of Chicago’s top athletes live, we’ve scoured the web to find you the answers you’re looking for, and listed for you below, are where several of Chicago’s top athletes live:
Derrick Rose: In March of 2012 it was reported Derrick Rose purchased a plush new condo in Chicago’s glamorous Trump Tower at 401 N. Wabash. Situated on the 84th floor, reportedly, we’re guessing the views from his luxury condo are one-of-a-kind and fit for a king.
Jay Cutler: Also in early August we saw reports that the starting Bears QB and his lovely new wife are renting a spectacular 8,200 square foot home in the affluent Winnetka community on Chicago’s North Shore. Given the Bears practice up at Halas Hall in Lake Forest, it’s certainly no surprise that Jay decided to stay up on the North Shore.
Patrick Kane: In 2008 we read that Patrick Kane opted for a $2 million condo in Trump Tower Chicago. Since then, we haven’t heard anything new relating to where Kane currently calls home, so odds are, he and D. Rose are still neighbors at one of Chicago’s most highly-sought after high-rises.
Jonathan Towes: In early August, we all heard Captain Jonathan Towes sold his stunning Lakeshore East condo for a whopping $1.629 million. So where exactly did he move? I think it’s safe to say Mr. Towes must really like the Lakeshore East neighborhood because he ultimately decided to swap out his old place at 450 E. Waterside Drive for a bigger three-bedroom over at 420 E. Waterside.
