Jefferson Park Chicago is a predominately middle class neighborhood on the northwest side of Chicago. Like its neighboring communities of Norwood Park and Portage Park, Jefferson Park has a large population of Polish-Americans but still maintains a wide range of cultural backgrounds. The official boundaries of Jefferson Park are fairly irregular but most residents consider the border line between Portage Park and Jefferson Park to be at Montrose Avenue to the south with a portion of the Edens Expressway up to Foster Avenue to the east, the Cook County Forest Preserve to the north, and Narragansett Avenue to the west.

Jefferson Park Chicago houses a wide variety of real estate options. Traveling east or west is very easy in Jefferson Park as the CTA 78 bus follows Montrose Avenue while the other main east/west line is the 81 bus that follows Lawrence Avenue. The 81W bus will also take commuters directly to the Jefferson Park Blue Line “L” stop located off Milwaukee Avenue just north of Ainslie Street. To travel north or south through Jefferson Park Chicago take the CTA 91 bus up and down Austin Avenue or the 86 bus down Narragansett Avenue.
