BUDLONG WOODS REAL ESTATE
Budlong Woods is predominately a single-family home neighborhood with traditional brick architecture, attached garages, and moderate sized backyards. A portion of the vintage small- and mid-size apartment buildings have been converted into updated condominiums as Budlong Woods is now considered a popular destination for young Chicago families to settle down while still enjoying city life. Because of the large variance in home sizes, the average sales price in Budlong Woods depends of the square footage of each home as well as lot size. A typical four to five bedroom home can range between $800,000 and $900,000 while an updated condominium can have a purchase price somewhere in the mid $200,000 range.
BUDLONG WOODS ENTERTAINMENT & OUTDOOR AMENITIES
Budlong Woods is surrounded by lush landscapes and quiet outdoor parks. Right next door to the east is the beautifully landscaped and always peaceful Rosehill Mausoleum and to the west is the picturesque river bed of the Chicago River with River Park in the south corner and Legion Park in the north corner. The North Shore Channel Trail runs alongside the Chicago River and provides an excellent walking, jogging, or biking pathway for nearby residents.
BUDLONG WOODS TRANSPORTATION
The two main bus lines running to and from Budlong Woods are the CTA 11 and 92 routes. Commuters can take the 11 bus south to the Western Brown Line stop or the 92 east to Broadway and catch the Berwyn Red Line stop just one block north. The Edens Expressway is also a very short distance from Budlong Woods and can be accessed from Foster Avenue just west of the neighborhood.
