Belmont Harbor is a small portion of the Lakeview neighborhood that surrounds one of the busiest harbors in all of Chicago. The border of Belmont Harbor is outlined by Broadway Avenue to the west, Fullerton Avenue to the south, Addison to the north and of course, the beautiful Belmont Harbor and Lake Michigan to the east. When it comes to residency, Belmont Harbor ranks among one of the top neighborhoods in Chicago because of its unmatched accessibility to both Lakeview and Lincoln Park. Restaurants, cafés and all the scenic lake and sail boat views you can imagine are conveniently right outside your doorstep when living around Belmont Harbor and congestion tends to be somewhat limited because of that fast flowing Lake Shore Drive controlling the neighborhood’s east side.

Immense high-rises with spectacular views of Chicago’s skyline, the harbor and Lake Michigan is the real estate of choice in Belmont Harbor. These contemporary condominiums make living in Chicago a pleasure, as each location is within steps of the electric atmosphere of the Lakeview and Lincoln Park neighborhoods, lush green park space and quick and easy public transportation. Along with the high-rise residences lining Lakeshore Drive, there is also a plethora of vintage walk-ups and mid-rise apartment buildings scattered throughout, making this location more affordable than you may think. In fact, many of the high-rise condos vary in price and updated amenities, allowing for this location to be on many buyers’ wish list. It certainly isn’t uncommon to find one condominium with all the bells and whistles: granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and marble baths; while in that same building, maybe just a few floors away, there’s another condominium on the market that has a much lower price tag but needs a little updating. If still on the fence about which Chicago neighborhood to choose, Belmont Harbor is definitely worth some serious consideration.
Sitting right on the lakefront, Belmont Harbor provides a wide variety of entertainment options. There’s fishing, picnicking, walking, jogging or even biking along Lake Shore Trail that's at the fingertips of every Belmont Harbor resident. There’s even a small fenced-in beach on the north side of the harbor called Doggie Beach that allows for resident dogs to stretch their legs in the sand and enjoy summertime in Chicago as much as we do. Additionally, Belmont Harbor is well within walking distance to the neighboring Wrigleyville and Wrigley Field. So catch a baseball game or stop by one of the countless watering holes lining Clark Street when you get the chance and enjoy one of the best venues in all of sports.
Nearly every major bus line can be caught from Lakeshore Drive. The main CTA bus lines around Belmont Harbor off Lakeshore Drive, however, are the #135, 145,146, and 151. The #36 CTA bus travels north and south down Broadway Avenue and the #152 will take passengers east or west across Addison Avenue. While no CTA “L” line runs directly through Belont Harbor, the Addison Red Line stop is only 3 blocks east of Broadway on Addison and Sheffield. Traveling to nearly any part of Chicago is especially convenient with all of the public transit options but if driving is necessary, Lake Shore Drive can be accessed Fullerton Avenue, Belmont Avenue, or just north at Sheridan Avenue.
